Banda Aceh – Tsunami and Disaster Mitigation Research Center (TDMRC) Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) achieved the third place as the Cleanest Service Unit in 2024. This award was presented by the Rector of USK along with several other units during the grand celebration of the university’s 63rd anniversary.
In his speech, the Rector of USK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary support from all members of the academic community, including faculty, staff, and students. He attributed the university’s achievements to the hard work of all its components, making it a reference university in Indonesia. “On this occasion, I would like to extend thousands of thanks to all members of the academic community for their support over the years.”
Furthermore, to the awardees in the context of the 63rd anniversary of Universitas Syiah Kuala, the Rector hoped they would serve as models and examples for others, both at the unit level and personally. “Hopefully, this award can serve as a model and example for others,” concluded Prof. Marwan. Meanwhile, the Head of TDMRC Prof. Syamsidik expressed gratitude for this achievement. “We are grateful for this achievement and thank all staff, department heads, reading ambassadors, the literary forum, and previous leaders for this hard-won accomplishment.”
