Prepared Project Collaboration Of Three Institutions Generates 5 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs)

Banda Aceh – Psychological Preparedness, acronym PREPARED Project, is a collaboration between the Faculty of Psychology at Gadjah Mada University, the Tsunami Disaster Research Mitigation Centre (TDMRC) at Universitas Syiah Kuala, and Poltekkes Mamuju. Its aim is to deeply explore the concept of psychological preparedness of Indonesian communities towards disasters. The project includes research activities, the development of measurement tools for psychological preparedness, and capacity-building training for disaster volunteers to utilize the generated instruments in measuring the preparedness of communities for disasters in Indonesia. The project’s outputs, which have been ongoing since 2021, include an policy brief available at https://psikologi.ugm.ac.id/prepared-project/ and 5 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs), namely:

3. PREPARED Policy Brief IPR
4. PREPARED Training Video IPR
5. PREPARED Device Utilization Video IPR

Additionally, two abstract papers from this project have been accepted and will be presented at the 15th AIWEST-DR DI UGM Yogya with the following titles:

1. Understanding the psychological preparedness of at-risk Indonesian communities to disasters
2. PREPARED training: awakening disaster volunteers of psychological disaster preparedness.
