The visit included a tour of key TDMRC facilities, such as the Real-Time Earthquake Laboratory, Shaking Table, and Tsunami Wave Flume. These cutting-edge research facilities allow students to witness firsthand the latest simulations and innovations in disaster mitigation technology. The center’s ongoing work in developing advanced tools for earthquake and tsunami prediction, as well as its educational outreach, plays a crucial role in improving disaster resilience in Aceh and beyond.

“We are proud to host these students and provide them with a deeper understanding of disaster research and its applications in mitigating the impacts of natural disasters,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Sri Aprilia. “It is essential that the next generation of leaders and professionals in disaster management is well-equipped with the knowledge and practical experience to address the challenges posed by such catastrophic events.”

This visit is part of TDMRC’s ongoing commitment to fostering educational collaboration and raising awareness about the importance of disaster risk reduction and preparedness in vulnerable regions.
